What We Do
DFT introduces civically engaged volunteers from the United States to the Lac Thien orphanage and surrounding village. In doing so, and connects low-income, orphaned, and disabled children to resources and kindhearted families seeking to broaden their perspectives and positively impact the world around them. Our service trips include helping to build a well for clean water, bringing a dentist and his family to teach proper hygiene, and sponsoring children to go to school. For many of the orphans and volunteers, DFT serves as a bridge between worlds, and demonstrates compassion through community.
